WangWei inherited the tradition virtue of “self-cultivating; family-regulating; state-ordering; then the land great governed”, and tried to explain it by Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoist, forming a progress and limited view of the people. However, the An Lushan Rebellion broke his quiet life, in the chaos, Wang Wei was made to take the fake post, and this "disgraceful" experience caused great trauma to him, causing his later prose creation having a clear mind and remorse "redeem" means.
