Space Science Fiction Movie Narrative Research

Having developed for nearly hundred years, Science fiction movie has become one of the world’s most striking genre movies. Whether from the thought depth, the quality of the production, sales or topicality, it must not allow us to ignore. And as a representative of the "hard science", space science fiction film is particularly popular with viewers and concerned by researchers. In this paper, under the new and high technology production of space science fiction film as the research object, is divided into six chapters to analyze the narrative strategy research.The first chapter briefly describes the development of space science fiction movies, the possibility of a science fiction film interpretation from the perspective of narrative research space and meaning. Vast universe has inspired the passion of human imagination and to explore, space science fiction movie is on this basis to be able to produce and fill. As one of the most important types of movies, space science fiction movies, theme, characters and scenes in the theme, image, movie techniques showed striking similarities in such aspects,which makes it possible to analyze it from the Angle of narrative research and is of great significance.The second chapter specifically analyzes three narrative subjects of space science fiction movie, respectively on space war, space horror and space exploration, and analyzes their respective characteristics.The third chapter analyses the role models in the space science fiction film. this chapter will discuss the role of human character settings and nonhuman settings in space science fiction movies. For human characters, the article is mainly to explore the important position of hero role similar to that of the myth in film, at the same time, to analyzes the fact that unlike in the past, not merely including male hero worship, space science fiction film now starts to include female heroes, which have also become more and more important. And differently, on settings for non-human characters, the lower virtual creatures are always set in terms of feminine traits. Based on the feminism perspectives, the article is to analyze thecharacteristics of settings for virtual non-human creature characters, finally interpreting the novel relationships between mechanical characters and human.The fourth chapter discusses the narrative structure and the plot strategy. The latter is the most important part of narrative works. With the Martian as example, this chapter mainly analyzes the idiomatic patterns of space science fiction movies, such as the use of classical principle on linear narrative of genre film. Also the use of nonlinear narrative, and other potentially used narrative, under the linear narrative plotline is discussed here.The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the theme of the space science fiction film, including loneliness and return, profound meaning of time and life, relationship of human with technology and universe, grasping the philosophy of the universe and universal human emotions, implied by the theme of science fiction film, from the perspective of the metaphysic, which is emphasized on here.The sixth chapter tries performing narrative analysis for space science fiction movie based on vision, hearing, and technology and game. Visual narrative is mainly analyzed from the two aspects, namely, the roles of space shaping and color in narrative. Auditory narrative is analyzed mainly with the background music and the use of sound effects. Finally, the subjects analyzed are the gamification narration under postmodern deconstruction, and promotions of technological development for narrative.In the final part of this article, the human yearning for the vast universe and what enlightenments universe can reveal to human kind.This article attempts to, with space science fiction movie narrative analysis, show that as a successful genre movie, space science fiction movie, has not made monotonous repetitions of narration patterns and stylistic elements, rather, it has been being constantly improved and explored for the use of narrative strategies and techniques. Space science fiction film is not only brings to the viewer a visual spectacle, but also lead us to continue thinking, Who am I,where I come from, where I want to go.
