Contemporary literature works generally define Liu Heng as "new realism" writer. His novel creation which chiefly focus on novelette and short stories was mainly concentrated in the 1980s to 1990s. He was not exactly a prolific writer, but his few works received wide attention from the critics due to the novelty of the theme and technique. Today, Liu Heng himself and his works still maintain a relatively high attention. The paper cuts in Liu Heng's novel world from the visual angle of humanitarian, try to have a new interpretation of his novels based on the theory of literature and philosophical approaches, and tries to highlight abundant humanity connotation, depth of philosophy and social ethics guidance in his novels, so as to have a new cognition of Liu Heng's literary creation.Those cold narration of nearly naturalism in Liu Heng's novels, not only saturated with the contemporary consciousness but also showed strong social ethics guidance, which concretely expressed as the confusion of life, fate hardly to get rid of, worship of the dead, and so on. His eyes always condensed in the human's survival and development, making beneficial exploration to the ultimate meaning of human existence in the form of a tragedy, his works are the focus and gaze to the real social life. With sense of responsibility as a writer, he pursued the root of the tragedy and used moral exhortation to the readers, passing the positive energy to the readers, at the same time, reflected on life by standing in the view of human nature, reflected a kind of feelings of compassion in the description of the tragedy. Humanitarian spirit in heart made Liu Heng focus on the plight of human existence and try to find the export of human happiness and hope from beginning to end. With a broad mind like the land and writer's sharp eyes, he looked at the characters of the daily chores, relationships and deep sufferings, conveyed deep concern and ask for the value of life.
