In 2011, the hit movie Love is Not Blind has drawn broad attention, which earns 350 million Yuan with only 8.9 million investments, becoming the origin of the "phenomenon film".In a broad sense, it refers to films with the features of low input, high-yield, audience's attention as well as high box office. In a narrow sense, "phenomenon film" is under the context of the new media, through big data analysis, integrated with audience's interests and preferences as well as the current social hot spots or sensitive topics, which is closer to common people's real life and mental state after image processing compared with other forms of film. It is easy to understand and accept and usually adopts the technique of expression of light comedy. As the hot materials and plain techniques, it also triggered a massive social sensation effect and created a new fashion trend. The typical films mainly include So Young, Tiny Types and the series of Lost on Journey and so on. The narrow concept of phenomenon film provides us with more research value. It describes the society in a form of soft and gentle with a neutral attitude, leaving the audience to experience and judge. Its unique thought of returning to normal has impacted on the future development of the domestic film to some extent. In spite of its flaws and defects, its innovative form, exquisite polished text and success on the box office have caused reflection on the contemporary film.
