The Academic System And Literature Of Lu Shiyi

Lu Shiyi(1611-1672),born in Taicang,Jiangsu.His courtesy name is Daowei,art name is Gangzhai,then as his pavilion floated on water,his art name was changed into”Futing”.He is a relatively typical Confucian Moralist at the juncture of Ming and Qing Dynasties.This thesis is about the discussion of Lu Shiyi's literary thoughts and creation according to his life experiences,academic opinions and his changes on thoughts,which to outline the overall viewpoint of Lu Shiyi,a relatively typical Confucian Moralist at the juncture of Ming and Qing Dynasties,and judge his historical role in the whole literature history.In the introduction part,this paper introduces research significance,research status,ideas and methods of research.The first chapter to the fifth chapter of the paper is the second part,namely five research branch of this subject.Firstly in the first chapter,mainly through collecting and systemizing the complete works of Lu Shiyi,the author tries to study about his family,life story and the scholastic activities of teachers and students.The second chapter explains the metaphysical philosophy and the physical social practice of Lu Shiyi.In the third chapter,the author sums up the theory of poetry and the criticism of all previous dynasties poetry of Lu Shiyi.In the fourth chapter,the paper specific analyses the main contents and features of poetry of Lu Shiyi himself.The fifth chapter combs Lu Shiyi's articles,sums up several kinds of style and their corresponding artistic achievements and characteristics.The last part is epilogue.Through the above academic researches,the author will try to interpret the inner world of Lu Shiyi and generalizes the overall image of Lu Shiyi based on these comprehensive analysis,and to give a positive evaluation on the historical significance of his academic thoughts and literature.After experienced the juncture of Ming and Qing Dynasties,Lu Shiyi built and developed his academic system during the social intercourse,which is the essence of Futing School and a topical case of intellectual transition in the Early Qing Dynasty.Lu Shiyi thought that the purpose of writing is to straight people's minds,and insisted to comment literature through the past dynasties on the standard of the morality.As the devoted adherent of Neo-Confucianist,Lu Shiyi attached importance to expound his academic thoughts in articles.The artistic characteristic of his poems is sigh for the rise and fall and bemoan the passing of the good old days,with tranquil and calm.
