Audience Analysis In The Process Of West Learning Spreading To The East In The Late Qing Dynasty

In the Late Qing Dynasty,under the influence of "Western force" and "Western Learning",cultural crisis occurred in China.To survive in this cultural crisis,the Chinese people had to make culture choice.Therefore,a culture re-constructing and transforming process were taken place.Not only as the creators of the Chinese culture,but also as the audiences of "Western Learning",every Chinese person was closely related to this process.Early Reformists who firstly proposed "the Monarch and Castles" and set requirements for the House,became the pioneers in spreading of western social and political theory,occupied a very important position in the process of cultural transformation.This article focuses on the political ideas of Early Reformists and its formation,from the perspective of the audience.It analyses the process of the early reformists that received and accepted the doctrine of Western society and politics,with external environment and internal factor.Its goal is to reveal the process of Early Reformists in cultural integration,and to analyze the value and orientation of Early Reformists in the cultural crisis.It is a case that deepened the knowledge and understanding of audiences in the process of West Learning Spreading to the East in the Late Qing Dynasty.This paper argues that: In the age of change,the Early Reformers faced a situation that including with the fusion of traditional and modern,and the conflict between traditional culture and Western culture.They actively carried out cultural choice that proposed the western political ideas,which made themselves become the lead advocate that imitated the West in the political system.As a result,the Early Reformists played an important role in the process of cultural transformation.The process of relieving and absorbing Western acknowledge by the early Reformist,was a typical and representative reacting of the Chinese people under the cultural crisis in the late Qing Dynasty.
