Discussing Plato's Influence On Gadamer's Dialectics Of Dialogue

Since the 1920's,Gadamer interpreted the Plato's philosophy through phenomenological method under the influence of Heidegger's ontology theory,in the meanwhile,Hegel's dialectics and Aristotle's Phronesis were combined in this process,and as a result,a “hybrid” Plato's philosophical horizon was formed.This horizon contains the seeds of Gadamer's hermeneutical thought,which got further deepen in the process of transformation of hermeneutics about the Plato's philosophy.When dialectics of Gadamer's dialogue was formed,the influence in the period of formation,which include the time of publication of truth and method and before,mainly show that Gadamer constructed his theory of hermeneutics according to the rationality of Plato's dialogue,and the influence in the late mainly show that Gadamer interpreted Plato's dialogue according to his own theory of hermeneutics,which enhanced the influence in the field of practice in the late;From the content of the dialectics of dialogue,the horizon of Plato's philosophy in the dialectics of Gadamer's hermeneutical dialogue is the fusion of multiple factors including Plato's thought.Basing on Heidegger's Ontology,Gadamer combined Socratic dialogue and Plato's dialectics as well as absorbed Hegel's spiritual dialectics through the number structure,and then Plato's dialectics of dialogue was formed.The position of the Plato in the dialectics of Gadamer's dialogue can be reflected through distinguishing among the multiple horizons contained in dialectics of Plato's dialogue.In Gadamer's view,Plato regarded the number structure as a concept of mathematical paradigm and try to clarify the problems by using the conceptual logic in the dialogue.The idea of Good was the foundation of the whole dialectics of Plato's dialogue as the highest and the first principle.Gadamer built his own philosophical hermeneutics gradually in such a view of Plato's Philosophy.Based on the theoretical Good in Plato's theory and the practical Good in Aristotle's theory,he found the practical possibility in Plato's dialogue and thus put forward the practical dialectics of dialogue by clarifying the process of dialogues in the form of dialogue of hermeneutics as well as the priority of the problem in the dialogue.The profound influence of Plato on Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics can be reflected both on the formation of Gadamer's Plato's philosophical horizon and on the dialectics of dialogue theory of ontological hermeneutics.Dialogue as media relate the theoretical Good to the practical Good,which also revealed the Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutical theory and practical dimension adequately.
