The Relationship Of Variant Characters In Shijing In Philology Perspective

With study of the variant characters in Shijing(??)handed down from the Han dynasty to nowadays,the relevant jargons have developed more and more complete.In the process of the study of the variant characters in Shijing(??)we can learn about the use and nonuse of characters and vocabulary.We classify the variant characters in Shijing(??)by character,prononciation and meaning to find the reason,way and rule of simultaneous use in characters.With this knowledge we may undersand the influence,restriction and assistant among character,pronunciation and meaning.So that we will find the scientificity and randomness in Chinese characters and realise the influence established by usage and authority character regulations.There is a lot of variant characters in Shijing(??),they come from different edition and quation of other books such as dictionary or verse.In this article,we use the variant character collected in ShijingTongjie(??????)by Linyiguang as the main source to analyse the relation of pronunciation and meaning,the reason caused variant character.In every term,we list the paragraph,the quation,and the vatiant character,and classify them to four kinds.The frist three is arranged by the criterion and the last is by the criterion of character figure.By all those analysis,we will find that variant character is not in relation of character,but related phonology,vocabulary and grammer,so the study of vatiant character is also a windon of Chinese traditional linguistics and philogy.
