The Study On The Repeated Verse Of Lu You's Poetry

Repeated verse,which refers to the verse reused in the poetry.It is typically for Lu You using numerous repeated verse in poetry,but there is no systematic study about that till now.This paper is aimed at finding the quantity,types,subjects tendency,effects and causes of the repeated verse of Lu You's Poetry.The paper is composed by three chapters.The first chapter mainly studies the number of the repeated verse and the similar cases in Lu You's Poetry.It was uncovered that there were repeated verse in Lu You's poetry in Qing Dynasty,but there is no systematic study on accurate statistics of how many repeated verse till now.More than1500 repeated verse were found after a thorough reading of Jiannan Poems.In addition,there were a lot of similar verse,which included similar sentence meaning,similar sentence patterns,repeated phrases,repeated literary quotations and similar imagery.The second chapter mainly studies on the types and subjects tendency of the repeated verse in Lu You's Poetry.Making a comprehensive survey,there were three kind of repeated verse in Lu You's poetry,which can be divided into repeated rhesis,repeated well-turned phrases and repeated familiar sentences.Each of them covered different proportion and had different effects.At the same time,the subjects tendency and the acceptance in later generations were uneven,which eliminated the bad effects of the repeated verse together.The third chapter focuses on the reasons that why repeated verse appeared that frequently in Lu You's poetry.Both subjective and objective factors leaded to this phenomenon.A large application of quotes and repetition in the poetry of Song Dynasty,the stereotype of modern style poem and the aging of poetic mechanism and language can be concluded as the objective reasons.In addition,writing rashly,writing surplusly,familiar poem-made method,subjects limitations and lack of innovation and inadequate revising were the subjective reasons.In conclusion,the main points were summarized and make comments on the value of Lu You's Poetry.
