The Cultural Imageries’ Convey And Translation In The Mongolian Translation Of TV Drama "Genghis Khan"

The translation of movies and TV works not only manifests historical inheritance and cultural development, but also social progress and technological innovation. As a bridge of cultural transmission, exchange and integration, Chinese-Mongolian translation of movies and TV works is of great importance to the communication and mutual understanding between different nationalities and cultures for Mongolian people. Translation works of movies and TV are culture symbols that reflect cultural imageries both within a nationality and between nationalities, posing great cultural significance in forms and content.By analyzing cases in Mongolian translation of "Genghis Khan", the thesis studies measurement of translation from multi perspectives, such as Mongolian language environment, language structure, rhetorical devices, Mongolian culture, and Mongolian mentality. The thesis consists of five parts:the introduction mainly introduces topic-selecting causes, research significance, research status quo and methods and references; Chapter 1 analyzes the cultural imageries and expression form of Mongolian version of TV drama" Genghis Khan "; Chapter 2 mostly discusses the conveying and translation of cultural imageries, specifically how it works in TV drama "Genghis Khan"; Chapter 3 analyzes the absence and reconstruction of cultural imageries of TV drama " Genghis Khan " and makes an inquiry into acceptance form viewers by conducting a field research; Part 5 summarizes the thesis with seven conclusions.
