It is generally believed that the reform movement named as Juárez began at 1854 and end at 1867. In this period, all kinds of measures which is dominated by Juárez on Mexico's social reform is aimed at defending the national independence and people's freedom. On the polity, it has established the democratic regime and bourgeois rights,promulgated the constitution of the bourgeoisie, accelerating the pace of Mexico modern construction of superstructure; On the economy, practice the reform of liberal reform, weaken the feudal land ownership, which makes the Mexico began from traditional agricultural society towards to a modern industrial society; On foreign relationships, to against the oppression and aggression from the United States and the European,and defend the independence and sovereignty of the state, and lay the foundation for the consolidation of the modern national system.It means that this reform greatly promotes the Mexican modernization process, and has a profound impact on the Mexican national development and social progress.For Juárez reform and related research can be studied from two aspects. Some scholars mainly focus on to analysis his personal experience and personality formation or analysis the reasons for the success of the reform, another part of the scholars on the reform of results analysis.
