A Study On Jiang Hongwei's Meticulous Flowers-and-birds Painting

Among all the modern Chinese painters, Jiang Hongwei is a representative artist who is concern of ancient artistic conception and full of creative. His paintings are mainly affected by the paintings of Song Dynasty and Western paintings the Impressionism. On the basis of tradition Chinese painting art, he is bold in exploring and innovation by introducing the elements of Western art such as sketching, the color temperature, lightness, pureness, fiction and reality, into his paintings. Most of his paintings are inspired by nature, because he pays attention to nature and lays emphasis on sketching. Combing the literati feelings of the traditional paintings in the East and the aesthetic taste of Western Art, he makes a perfect integration and forms a unique artistic style of modern Chinese meticulous flowers-and-birds painting. Reasonable use of Western painting elements is an improvement, innovation, enriching and development to tranditional painting.In this thesis, we will first make an interpertation to Jiang Hongwei's painting art history, painting language, artistic style and aesthetic characteristics and the factors that influence his artistic style. Further, we will focus on his personal perception for his painting and his viewpoint to teaching and art creation. The research method of this study is sorting out the works of his meticulous flowers-and-birds paintings, and making a comparision between the tradition Chinese meticulous flowers-and-birds paintings and his works. Based on the analysis, we can make a more objective and comprehensive analysis of the artistic features and aesthetic features of Jiang Hongwei's meticulous flowers-and-birds painting. His works is an enrichment and development for modern Chinese meticulous flowers-and-birds painting.For diverse contemporary painting flowers and birds painting art style has certain enlightenment significance and function of innovation.
