Analysis Of Cartoon Style In Contemporary Arts

The combination of cartoon and Chinese contemporary art has existed for about 20 years since 1990 s, in which Cartoon Generation sprang up. It has been through rise, development, decline and reversion. In this thesis, I will analyze the development of cartoon style creation in contemporary art and summarize the common artistic characteristics. I'll lay stress on seeking the reasons why cartoon style becomes more and more popular in contemporary art. In order to determine the causes, I'll analyze the backgrounds of artists, showing that in modern economic society, changes of social aesthetic culture and rise of Internet influent artists' senses of worth and artistic styles. Besides, I'll seek the reasons from art market area. After this, I will analyze the influences of Pop Art, Super-Flat Art and Sichuan Art. At last, I'll show the living conditions of artists, trying to give the fact that cartoon is not only the way artists focus on themselves, but also the way they make their voices heard.
