Today, in the process of globalization, the wind of the consumer society has been sweeping the world, and has been concerned by various countries and fields. In the twenties of the last century, western developed capitalist countries ushered in the era of consumer society, and at the beginning of this century, China has completely opened its doors and entered the era of market economy, during this period, the enthusiasm of the academic research of consumer society theory is very high. Among them, Baudrillard, as a heavyweight in the study of the theory of consumer society, has been pushed to the front of the people. In this article, in the process of exploring Baudrillard's theory of consumer society, we mainly from the semiotic perspective, based on the theoretical basis of "the end of production", by comparing the production-consumption theory of Marxism, and ultimately build a simulation of the consumer society, and further critically interpret the consumer society.According to the above writing ideas, this article will be discussed from five parts, namely, five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, describes the background and significance of the topic, analyses the domestic and foreign research status, and gives the research ideas and the main content of this paper. The second chapter is a brief introduction to the theory. First of all, combing three representative figures or factions of those involved in the theory of "alienation" concept, and discusses and compares these consumption theories. Then, according to Baudrillard's theory of "symbolic consumption", we take the role of the symbol as the main line, to sort out and summarize the internal logic, and put forward the two turning points of his theory. The third chapter is the theoretical foundation, based on the "end of production" to construct the "simulation" of the consumer society. This chapter first point out the plot and hegemony of capital system in the consumer society, and expose its conspiracy behavior; then in such a default context, through criticizing the labor value theory, leads to the concept of "reproduction" of the system; finally, in this system we discuss how we shift from "production society" to "consumer society". The "reproduction" theory system in this chapter is the theoretical foundation of the consumer society, so we can grasp the "simulation" of the consumer society. The fourth chapter is the theoretical interpretation and evaluation. First, in the perspective of simulation we discuss a variety of consumer social phenomenon, and carries on the re-interpretation; next, according to the characteristics of consumer society, analyzes the consumer society represented by “the ecological crisis” phenomenon; Finally, this paper gives the intention and the contemporary significance of the consumer society theory of Baudrillard, and gives the supplement and elaboration to its theoretical limitation. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, briefly summarizes the research results of Baudrillard's consumer society theory, and points out the contribution and deficiency of the theory. At last, the author expresses the regret and expectation of this paper.
