The Research On Sanyu Painting Language

Sanyu was one of a group of artists who study abroad earlier since the 20 th century, he spent most of his in Paris, France. He was once outstanding because of its unique eastern aesthetic spirit in mordern art in Paris, the language pattern he constructed in the art which different from modern western art, enriched and extended the connotations, which on behalf of Chinese art of modern, he developed a Chinese-style modern art, presenting a far-reaching influences.This paper aims to study the painting language and its unique specific manifestations in Sanyu's work. Study analyzed the forming process of his art through the social environment, educational background and life experience Sanyu lived in, combining painting works and the spirit he emboded in each different period conducting an in-depth analysis and his painting language modeling, lines,colors, painting themes and flat decorative features.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly clarify the background and purpose of this research, define the contents of the study,study the current research situations of home and abroad; the second part describes the Sanyu's life and his forming process in art; the third part is the focus of this paper,studied in detail about the shape, line, color, decorative themes and graphic in painting language, to fully understand Sanyu painting language through detailed analysis and research in these five areas; part four explained the lesson we learned from Sanyu art,the author discussed its values in art from both the social cultural value and artistic pursuit these two aspects as well as the inspiration for later generations; the fifth part is a summary of this paper writing. Through this five sections provide insight for Sanyu painting language, and tap the spiritual content of his work, so that they reinforce each other, and people can better understand this man, his work and its artistic value, aims to make people art have a more comprehensive, holistic understanding to Sanyu's works and a profound understanding of the social and cultural values his art included and the inspiration he brought to Chinese morden art.
