Sanyu’s Study Of Oil Painting

Artist Sanyu is a Chinese artist who studied abroad in the early 20 th century.Not only has the Oriental cultural identity background and artistic accomplishment,but also has a broad international perspective.On the basis of absorbing and using for reference the western modern art thoughts and painting forms,his exploration of blending Chinese and western art cuts into the current times and social changes from the perspective of Chinese traditional culture.Trying to construct the language pattern which is different from the western modern art.His oil painting art is not the same as Lin Fengmian’s innovation of "harmonizing Chinese and Western" art form,but also different from Xu Beihong’s realistic method of "Chinese body and Western use".Sanyu’s art of oil painting follows the fusion of modernity and tradition under the concept of survival aesthetics.The "Chang Style" oil painting created by artist Sanyu is an important wealth in the transition period of Chinese modern art,and also provides valuable experience for the development of Chinese art modernity.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the reasons for the formation of Sanyu’s oil painting through the analysis of the artist Sanyu’s oil painting career.Combining with the concrete oil painting works of Sanyu,this paper studies the line,shape,color,texture,composition and decoration features of artistic language in his oil painting works.Explore Sanyu’s unique artistic language from Chinese traditional culture and art as well as western modern art.Through the method of image and contrast analysis,this paper analyzes the typical oil painting subject matter,and probes into the artistic aesthetic and spiritual connotation conveyed in his oil paintings.Finally,the value of Sanyu’s oil painting art and the impact on the author’s creative practice.Artist Sanyu’s oil painting art not only enriches and expands the content and boundary of Chinese art modernity,but also provides style language and expression form which can be used for reference for contemporary art creation,his achievements have a far-reaching influence on the development of contemporary art.
