On The Tone Of The Double Bass

Double bass is the giant one in the violin family which has broad range,complicated and various playing techniques.It has very strong capability of expression.Both in solo and band it shows the unique feature and plays an irreplaceable role.This paper borrows experiences from former studies,trying to explore more colorful and varieties of sound from double bass'character,playing techniques and so on,to revealed music more deeply and more accurately.This paper presents the concept of tone in 5ways:the importance of tone in music performance;the feature of double bass' tone;the changes of music with different playing techniques;the proper using and playing of double bass in music performance.
