| It has become reality needs to seek for innovation in traditional craftsmanship and handicrafts. Innovation, first of all, shall accord with public's aesthetic and the demand of modern life. Through market investigation and analysis to extract Zhuang Jin elements, and this paper will use these elements to inlaid gold lacquer arts and crafts' design which is conformed to populace esthetic. Firstly, this paper will compare Zhuang Jin and the gold lacquer inlay craft's styles in the past to discover the common characteristics of these two arts and crafts styles. Secondly, this paper will figure out the possible combination by doing a series of comparison by color and finishing. Besides, this paper try to find an appropriate expression and design pattern applied to inlaid gold lacquer practical arts and crafts design by integrating the characteristics of the material and pattern forms, Lastly, this paper will combine the elements of Zhuang Jin, inlaid gold lacquer designs and the result of market research to find out an appropriate expression and design applied to the design of inlaid gold lacquer practical arts and crafts. The final design is presented in a way of four sets of jewel cases, which is trying to show the beauty of this combination. |
