Intangible cultural heritage (ICH for short) is significantly for a region'culture, and is the precious treasure which people pass on from generation to generation and still exist nowadays, bearing the common production and living memories of people for generations. However, because of the fragility and irreconcilability, amount of ICHs are at the endangered edge. Therefore, protecting the ICHs would brook no further delay, which has became a common view around the world.As a tourism county, Taining is rich in ICH resources, whose inheritance basic is clear and create a complete cultural ecological communities. Their various phenomena, relations and contradictions are all worth studying, and are prone to be the common problems in the protection of ICH.This paper will use the method of literature research, studying the literature of ICH to grasp the relevant theories, learning advanced experiences from other regions, to lay a theoretical foundation for this paper. Use the method of field visit, going deep into the cultural units and the fields, to fully understand the true ICH in Taining. Under the background of changing cultural ecological environment, use the method of comparative analysis to do comparison research between the "original" and "non-original" ICHs in Taining, finding the positive aspect and the aspect needed to improve, which as a clue to discuss the problems faced by taining to protect the ICH. Meanwhile, use the theory of cultural ecology to overall study the origin and structure of the ICH in Taining, analyze the fundamental reasons of the problems existed in the ICH protection of Taining, then sum up the protection principles of the ICH, to guide the concrete measures of ICH protection in Taining.Taining boast abundant ICHs, but so far the specialized theory research on ICH of Taining was not found yet, only occasionally mentioned in the tourism study of Taining. Choosing this topic in this paper, not only because of the protection actuality, but also hope to attract more attention to the ICH of Taining. Meanwhile, this paper try to explore a new way to protect the ICH of Taining, hoping provide some advices for the competent department, cultural enterprises and related units, and can be used as a reference for the similar countys.
