| As a special language form of the Han nationality, Chinese idioms have concise expression, which are often implied in the literal meaning. They are not the simple addition of the meaning of constituent elements. This thesis takes the idioms constituted of "dong" as the main research object and research them from the three aspects of semantic meaning, grammar and culture. Through comparative analysis. example and inductive inference, this thesis explores the cultural connotation of "dong" and the idioms constituted of "dong". Firstly, the thesis analyzes and concludes the meaning of "dong" from several authoritative dictionaries, then the semantic meaning and symbolic meaning of the idioms constituted of "dong" will be sorted. Secondly, the thesis analyzes the grammatical structure and grammatical functions of the idioms constituted of "dong" according to "Modern Chinese" edited by Huang Borong and Liao Xudong.Finally, the thesis references the semantic meaning of the idioms constituted of "dong" and some related literature to explore the cultural connotation of "dong" and the idioms constituted of "dong". Through the analysis of the above three aspects, the thesis expects to further explore the cultural connotation of the idioms constituted of "dong", and to further study the Chinese language and culture. |
