| Chinese idiom is a great feature of Chinese national culture.In the statement,it plays a role,as a whole,summarizing based on the meaning of constituting components.The structure is fixed and mainly composed of four characters.Different from modern Chinese,a large part of idioms are from ancient literature and have been used since from the ancient times.their styles retain the original characteristics,which contain abundant history and culture."Crane",as a totem worship of ancient clan,holds a more diverse meaning with the development of the historical process,In this paper,idioms containing "crane"are used as the main research object.Firstly,whit the help of various authoritative reference books,we collect and classify the whole senses of the "crane".Through classifying "crane"word senses into corresponding contexts,we divide "crane"into the basic meaning and the transferred meaning.The creating methods of "crane"are investigate.Idiom semantic content and symbolic significance constituted with "crane"are classified.Secondly,according to the theory of Huang Borong,Liao Xudong "modern Chinese" in a phrase structure types and basic syntactic constituents,from speech structure,grammatical structures and grammatical functions,idioms constituted with "crane" are analyzed and summarized.Finally,we investigate the deep culture behind the "crane",and the close relationship between the "crane"and the Taoist culture,the hemit culture and the folk culture is discussed in detail.Though the analysis of the four character idioms constituted with"crane",the deep culture heritages of the Chinese nation behind the "crane" are investigated and studied. |
