Many of the art journals in the period of the Republic of China were founded by artists,art societies,art institutions and related cultural and educational institutions and cultural units.In the first half of the 20 th century,in the information media is not developed,almost all kinds of artistic views,Practice and so on are the first to use the spread of journals,and then cause the echo or contend.The content of the articles published in the Republic of China-both works and articles,are highly contemporary and critical,and are first-hand information that can correctly and comprehensively reflect the colorful history of painting.However,in the study of the history of art in the Republic of China,there is little mention of this part of the information,more painful with the help of art journals to provide rich mineral resources to expand the possession of historical data,improve the relevant topics of research.1919 to 1937 Peking area art journals,although the Republic of China art journals in the sea,but both from the editorial staff,the author team,published content,publishing cycle,or business model,distribution channels,editorial purposes,etc.are great And the combing and researching of the art journals in this region can help us to understand the changes of the Peking Paintings in the early days of the Republic of China and correct some of our previous knowledge of the traditional painters of the Beijing School.And then as a starting point,causing the relevant experts and scholars of the Republic of China art journals of the vast resources of attention,from the art of art to study the fresh elements,rich modern art history research.
