Chinese Television Sociological Criticism

The sociological criticism of Television is one important direction of Television criticism in Chinese academia,however,less attention was paid to it in the past.This dissertation attempts to review the development history of Television sociological criticism and its conducting system in the frame of Television criticism history;it would also identify the definitions of “Television sociology” and “Television sociological criticism”;it also clearly states the theoretical development routine of Chinese Television sociological criticism which is divided to three stages : Ideological criticism in early stage,historical aesthetic criticism and cultural criticism after 1990 s : it gives a literature review of existing academic works of Chinese Television sociological criticism: it also explore four main topics in sociological criticism of Chinese Television,include “the cross-field research of arts sociology and aesthetic,the dual features of narrative texts and social texts,the mutual influences of narrative contexts and social contexts and the knotting connection and changes of artistic issues and social contexts: finally,it summarizes the features,ideological preference,the importance and limitations of Chinese Television Criticism.
