A Report On The Translation Of A Cultural Interpretation Of Errenzhuan (Chapter Two)

Under the impact of the current global integration,more and more foreign cultures come into China,an ancient country with five thousand years history.With the rapid development of Chinese economy and the increasing of international status,the world needs to know more about China.In order to make the world understand China better,we have the responsibility to translate the traditional culture into other languages.This report is based on the translation of A Cultural Interpretation of Errenzhuan(Chapter Two).The book was written by Mr.Yang Pu who was the former dean of the Faculty of Arts of Jilin Normal University.This book focuses on the origin of the ancient culture of Errenzhuan.Errenzhuan is the most popular with the northeast people and the most traditional local culture in the northeast.As the Northeasters,it is our duty to spread this traditional culture out,so that foreigners can understand it.The second chapter of this book introduces the origin and the relationship between Errenzhuan and various reproduction custom.This report is divided into four parts,the first part introduces the background and the significance of the translation;in the second part,the whole translation process are described;the third part analyzes lexical features and syntactic features of the book and give some examples;in the fourth chapter,the whole translation process are summarized.This chapter of the book quotes a large number of Chinese ancient mythologies,gods' names,and ancient Chinese geographical names and even cited the writings in classical style.These are the difficulties in the process of translation.This report puts forward the corresponding solutions to these difficulties,and summarizes the translation process and experience.Hoping this report will initiate and provide the reference for the similar translation works.
