The Research On Palace Women Political Intervention Of The Early Stage Of Tang Dynasty

Palace women refer to the empresses,princess,the maid.These women should not have interfered with the state affairs.However,they took advantage of near the emperor,coupled with the environment where the early Tang Dynasty is in a high development of the Chinese ancient culture and the society is relatively open,which laid a solid foundation for the early Tang Dynasty women's interventions in the political affairs.As a result,the imperial concubines,princesses,and female officials are unwilling to stay at in imperial Palace and actively intervene in political affairs.Therefore,it became the most outstanding political feature of the Tang dynasty in the early stage,so that the palace women in the early Tang Dynasty had important status and function in the political history of the Tang Dynasty and of ancient China.On the basis of summing up the academic achievements of the predecessors,this thesis briefly expounds the research about women politics.And it consists of four parts:The first part mainly expounds the political activities and political features of the palace women in the early stage of the Tang Dynasty;The second part mainly explains why the palace women intervened in the political affairs in the early stage of the Tang Dynasty;The third part mainly elaborates the regulation measures taken by Tang Xuanzong who learned lessons from palace women in the early Tang Dynasty,which makes the female politics in a benign development;The four parts mainly elaborated the influence which focused on the later ages and evaluation of the palace women's interventions in the political affairs from the political history of Tang Dynasty and of ancient China.The last part is the conclusion.It makes a briefly conclusion of the female political interventions in the early stage of the Tang Dynasty in terms of a large time dimension.It has both advantages and disadvantages for the palace women interventions in the early stage of Tang Dynasty.On the one hand,it is undeniable that the women did play a positive role in the politics.On the other hand,their interference certainly resulted in the unstable political situation.After Xuanzong ascended to the throne,he took a series of regulation measures which the phenomenon of women's interventions can be improved.Thereafter,the successive rulers made continuous efforts to lead the female politics in ahealthy development and they became the effective assistants of the royal authority.
