In recent years,both China and South Korea have made great progress in researching The Book of Songs in ancient Korea.However,they research mainly on ancient articles or writings,and rarely refer to notes on poets and poetry.These materials are much more enlightening to research on the overseas spread of The Book of Songs,they can compensate for what the articles are weak in.From the existing documents,the notes on poets recorded The Book of Songs earlier than articles.In articles or writings,the attention of this book started from Shiqianjianlu(1352-1409),but the notes referred to it began from Buxianji written by Cui Zi(1188-1260).So the thesis focus on the notes on poets and poetry,analyzes the acceptance of The Book of Songs by ancient Korea in both literature and study of Confucius classic,especially in late period of Goryeo Dynasty and Chosun Dynasty.In the first chapter,the thesis summarizes and analyzes the quotation frequency of The Book of Songs by Korean notes.For the notes usually researches with specific contents of the book,the chapter begins with the quotation frequency of each piece.After analyzing,under the influence of Zhuxi's neo Confucius,the ancient Korean authority chose the following articles for acceptance and publicity:King Wen about publicizing the wise king,Guanju about eulogizing the virtue of a couple,Qi'ao about improving oneself,Shuli about patriotism or other pieces of article publicized correct value.In chapter two,the thesis investigates the acceptance of The Book of Songs by Korean notes on poetry from the perspective of study of Confucius.From the late Goryeo Dynasty to Chosun Dynasty,the study of poetry by Zhuzi played a vital role in the study of The Books of Songs.Preliminarily,the Korean scholars dialectically accepted the theories from Preface of the Books of Songs and the idea of thinking purely.Later on,Zhu Zi's philosophy and real learning successively sprang up and became localized,it presented the transfer from reliance on the study of poetry to independence and the emphasize on reality by the Confucianism morality.What's more,The Books of Songs greatly affected social ordering,and strongly influenced the forming of ancient Korean system,culture,ideology and social morality.In chapter three,the thesis analyzes the acceptance from literature aspect.The Book of Songs was considered as the suzerain and the authentic means,its natural and style of controlling emotion with manner,its expressing technique of noting poetry by temperament and qi,and the political and cultural system supports like warmly receiving Chinese ambassadors and the imperial competitive examination,all of them not only ensured the position of this book in ancient Korean literature,but also created conditions for the prosperity of Chinese literature,and the emotion-focused and qi-focused Confucianism morality thus formed.
