Chen Jinggu, Lady Linshui, is one of the most influential goddess in popular religion in south China. She is regarded as the protector of women and children. According to legend, she had ability to help women to bear and children to grow up. Chen Jinggu faith comes from Fujian Province, spread widely in the region, and spread to both at home and abroad. She have a huge god class system, There are many kinds of Fine Art related to Chen Jinggu belief, including ancient god figure, certificates, Taoist temple murals, paper, drama image, building decoration, calligraphy, etc. By taking the statues of Chen Jinggu as research subjects, based on a mass of fieldwork, combined with the rich images, mainly from the perspective of plastic arts and image study on the systematic classification of Chen Jinggu the statues of Fujian regions; By parsing, Chen Jinggu statues posture, facial expression, clothing, gestures, and handheld, visitors and other appendages programs and components, such as base, present the artistic style and features and the causes of Chen Jinggu statues; Combined with belief custom culture and audience psychology, by comparing Chen Jinggu with other goddess, such as avalokitesvara of delivering children, Mazu, Maxian, Mrs Zisu and Mrs Zhusheng, who are said to be the protector of women and children as well, this thesis tries to discuss the relationship between Chen Jinggu belief and the belief of Avalokitesvara, and summarize the regional characteristic of the statues of Chen, explore its sequence, and its culture value and artistic charm.
