Lv Ying(1915-1969),who is known as the accomplished theorist,aesthetist and translator of contemporary Chinese literature,creatively put forward the point that the essence of beauty is one of the concepts of human in the great discussion on aesthetics in the 1950s—1960s,so he has been established as one of the representatives of "subjective aesthetics",and since then,Lv Ying and his theory has been the concern of the academic community.However,During nearly three decades,the realistic theory of literature and art has always been the fields that he dedicated to explore and research from beginning to end.the exposition and research of realistic theory of literature and art is the beginning of his theory,the late thought of aesthetic can be regarded as the continuation,which is a widening and development of his early theory,and his realistic literary theory is the core of his whole theory system.Therefore,it is of great academic significance and theoretical value to explore and study the early realistic theory of literature and art of Lv Ying.Lv Ying's realistic literary theory has been analyzed from four aspects in this article: The first part is the introduction.I sort out the existing research results from the following aspects: the connotation,the relationship,the comparison and the reflection,through which we can find the developing trend and the breakthrough point of the research on the theory of Lv,so as to establish the direction and the focus of this article.The second part concerns the characteristics of Lv Ying's realistic literary theory,the article reveals the academic contributions of Lv Ying,combining with the historical,political and cultural backgrounds through the analysis of the three prominent characteristics of his realistic literary theory,which are ”reality” as the basis,” narrative” as the advocated method and “aesthetics” as the ultimate purpose.Although it seems that Lv Ying's theory has much similarities to Zhou Yang and Hu Feng's realistic literary theories,as an independent theorist,Lv Ying focus on the characteristics of realistic literary theory,has build up his own theoretical system through three aspects,namely,”reality” as the basis,” narrative” as the advocated method and “aesthetics” as the ultimate purpose.Based on the detailed analysis,the superiorities and uniquenesses of Lv Ying and his theory will be revealed.The third part is about the homogeneity and uniqueness of Lv Ying's realistic literary theory,which Lv Ying has put forward mainly during the 1930 to the 1950 s.In this section,the article compares the similarities and differences of aesthetic,political and typicality of literature between Lv Ying,Hu Feng,He Qifang and Zhou Yang,who were influential at that time.In order to focus on the homogeneity and uniqueness which were shown in the establishment of Lv Ying's realistic literary theory,so as to set up the historical status of Lv Ying 's theory.The fourth part is committed to connect Lv Ying's realistic literary theory and aesthetic thoughts together.As a theorist,Lv Ying has made great efforts not only in the literary theory,but also in his aesthetic thoughts,both of the above are unified in the same theorist's accomplishment and put forward in order,Therefore,it is of great significance that we should grasp the relationship between literary theory and aesthetic thoughts of Lv Ying 's realistic theory of literature and art.From the existing research,academia has extracted the objective materialistic nature from Lv Ying's aesthetic thought,and separated Lv Ying's thoughts from the "subjective aesthetics" thoroughly.Therefore,his early literary theory and the late aesthetic thoughts can be seen as a entirety which is dynamic developing and deepening exploring.In this section,the discussion about the relationship between the literary theory and aesthetic thoughts of Lv Ying's did not limited to qualitative analysis about the subjective or objective qualitative in aesthetic thoughts as before,but focus on the connecting of his literary theory and aesthetic thoughts,in order to unify the theoretical exploration of Lv Ying and confirm his theoretical position.In summary,this article has taken variety of methods such as text study,analysis and comparative research,combined with the specific background,and the international and domestic literary and political movements at that time,analyzes and compares Lv Ying's theory of realism dynamically.The characteristics of Lv Ying's realistic literary theory should be understood according to the analysis,and the homogeneity and uniqueness of Lv Ying's theory may be emphasized through the comparison.The close relationship between the literary theory and aesthetic thoughts of Lv Ying's should be found out,so as to clarify the gain and loss of his choice of theory comprehensively and grasp the significance and value in his theory accurately and historically.
