Realism,English is "realism." The German poet Schiller first used the term "realism" in aesthetic terms in his letter to Goethe in April 1789.During the Italian Renaissance in the 16 th century,Caravaggio first created the people of the bottom of society,the homeless people and the peasants.In his works,he can clearly feel the realist factors with humanistic atmosphere;the Dutch School of the 17 th century used real life as the main material of artistic creation.Realism became a social trend in France in the nineteenth century,and painter Courbet first advocated realism in the field of oil painting.Later,he organized an exhibition of works called “Realism” and elaborated his own artistic ideas of realism.Shao Dazhen published an article on "Realistic Spirit and Modern Art" in the 11 th issue of "Arts" in 1980.He wrote: Realism is a creative technique and a means of expression that reflects real life and uses a vivid artistic image.Give people a spiritual encouragement.The invention of engraving promoted the development of printmaking and upgraded the original print form from the original copy form to the mature art form.As the birthplace of black and white woodcuts,China has a long history of printmaking and provides rich literature and materials for contemporary prints.The woodcut of Chinese creation originated from the new woodcut movement advocated by Mr.Lu Xun,and also opened a new chapter in the creation of Chinese printmaking.With the rapid development of economy and culture,the artistic language of black and white woodcuts has also undergone great changes.It has begun to focus on the exploration and research of the black and white woodcut ontology art language,enriching the artistic language and expressive power of black and white woodcuts.In the early days of liberation,Mao to create prints that are close to Chinese society and have China's own characteristics has become a problem faced by Chinese local realism prints.Chinese contemporary realism prints express the artist's perception,state and social consciousness of self-survival with unique artistic language and expression techniques.Chinese contemporary realistic prints express the inner truth of things,depicting people with social attributes,and expressing their true social relationships according to social reality,based on local reality.Rethinking the relationship between life and art,the exploration of the artistic language of printmaking is combined with the culture of contemporary China,and the creation of prints should return to real life.Chinese contemporary realistic prints are
