Regain The Lost "Place"

Problems of time and space has been the important topics that philosophers discussed and researched continuously in the history of philosophy,and the recurrence of space and place problems is an important reason for the rise of Western Marxist geography,also has a very important theoretical significance for the study of Western Marxism.Followed the globalization of time and space compression which caused a great impact to the various parts of the world inevitably,to this day,the issues of place once again aroused high attention of the theoretical circle,creating all kinds of different parts in the field of theory construction and interpretation.It is good for us to understand space and place better,and the intrinsic relationships between people and the environment,etc.By analyzing the history of philosophy about the space and place,this thesis is based on the vision of Western Marxism to carry out the critical study of space problems to find out the disappearance of history and theory of place and a road to the history of the renaissance for place under the guidance of the famous American scholar Edward Casey.The first part of this article introduces this research status at home and abroad about space and place,which lies a solid foundation for this study.The second chapter mainly defines the meaning of place and space,and clarify the inner link between them.It is a necessary step for this study.The third chapter tries to figure out the cause of the disappearance of the place by analyzing the historical origins of space and place and the reasons for the shift to space.In the fourth chapter,under the guidance of Edward Casey,this chapter tries to find a few path to return to the place from the perspective of philosophy.The last chapter tries to find the direction from space to place.In conclusion,through the analysis and study of space and place,this paper tries to better understand the concept of space through a deep look into Yi-fu Tuan and Casey's place theory from the perspective of he Neo-marxist theory.
