Research On Zhong Shan Shi Hua

Comments on poets and poetry are considered as spiritual sustenance for the poets in Song Dynasty after the peak of poetry in Tang Dynasty with the feature of making memorandums and talking causally.Liu Ban’s Zhong Shan Shi Hua,Ouyang Xiu’s Liu Yi Shi Hua,and Sima Guang’s Wen Gong Xu Shi Hua are regarded as the most three famous books which have their unique significance in the history of the Comments on poets and poetry in the initial Song Dynasty.This paper consists of three parts:First,it introduces Liu Ban and discussed different versions of Zhong Shan Shi Hua.Liu Ban,the famous historian and poet in the early Northern Song Dynasty,struggled in his official career.Except for traveling with his father when young,his career was not smooth because of his banter and honest personality,which also influenced his poetry creation.The ample content,the interesting and unique evaluation characteristics of Zhong Shan Shi Hua,and are bound with this.There are many versions of Zhong Shan Shi Hua,like the Complete Version,Bai Chuan version,Shuo Fu version,Song Shi Hua Wu Zhong version,Jin Dai version,Li Dai Shi Hua version and Ying Xue Xuan version.There are subtle differences in chapters and words,which are worth considering and appreciating.Second,it includes the poetic ideas of Zhong Shan Shi Hua.In theaspect of poetry creation,Liu Ban discussed the creative skills and taboos of writing poetry.He thought that convention should be avoided and it is not necessary to stick to describing things.The poetic meaning should come first,and poets should accept the materials can be proper in certain aspect.In the aspect of appreciating poetry,Liuban praised the cynical function of poetry,and often sighed that it was very difficult to find close friends to appreciate poetry.Meanwhile,he has a unique evaluation of some poets and poems in Tang Dynasty and Song dynasty.Third,it contains other contents of Zhong Shan Shi Hua.As an early comment on poets and poetry,Zhong Shan Shi Hua has the prominent feature of making memorandums and talking casually.With his unique personality and life experiences,its content is more abundant.The dialects,jargon,exegesis,annotation,geographical sites,Cuju,wine culture and more are involved in Zhong Shan Shi Hua.
