Previous research on action memory showed the advantage for performing the action events when action phrases had to be remembered which be called Enactment Effect.Make a conclusion, the material had to be remembered were selected from daily life or social interaction movement. There were no studies focused on the nonsense static action, and no studies explored weather the motor expertise can make an effect on Enactment Effect. In this research,we explored whether this effect would preserve when the nonsense static actions demonstrated by an expert had to be remembered and how the motor expertise adjust the enactment effect.80 college students were recruited on campus of Shanghai University of Sport.Half of them were majored in sports including Wushu, aerobics, gymnastics, and diving, and the other half were non-sport major students.15 novel static actions were created and performed by an expert as memory material, all participants had to remember all stimulus actions by different memory style, half of them were asked to perform the actions while observing. And the other half of them were asked to observe only. All participants were assessed with the free-recall and recognize tests immediately,24 hours, and 7 days after the memory task. The results showed that whatever the participates with or without motor expertise, acting was better than observing group in immediate, the second and the seventh day memory test both included free-recall and recognition testes(P<0.01).Secondly,the those three day testes, athletes were better than non-athletes whatever they were in the acting group or observing group in two type of testes(P<0.01).Furthermore,in free-recall result, there were interact effect between motor expertise and memory style which showed there were no significant different between athletes in observing group and non-athletes in acting group(P>0.05).We can make conclusion as follow, enactment effect also showed in nonsense action and this effect can maintain a time. The second, expertise effect also showed which may from the athletes had a deeper motor encoding. There were no primacy and recency in action memory. Those who are lack of motor expertise or experience should be encouraged to act with(rather than just observe)the model to learn novel motor skills.
