With China's rapid urban development,gradually changed the urban built environment,its impact on the lifestyle of the residents raise new public health problems.Long desk work,such as dependency on mobile some extent has led to obesity,the spread of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease,high blood pressure,had a certain impact on the health of urban residents.Walking as a fundamental way to travel and the most simple and effective form of physical activity to promote health,reduce environmental pollution and more important role,increasing residents ' attention to walk.Within walking distance of the city as an important measure of healthy cities,more and more attention in the field of planning and transportation.Study on the influence of the built environment on travel on foot in the study of Europe and the United States is more extensive,but present in our city there is little proof.Under national conditions in China,and how to build or improve the urban built environment,shaping the walk friendly communities so as to promote the development of sustainable social,urban planning and management is of great practical significance.This study at home and abroad on the built environment and walking behavior based on relevant literature and theory,Nanchang city,based on three types of questionnaires in the built environment,first community walkable environment scale revised the reliability of the test.Second test of walking environment scale was used to collect environmental data,417,using multiple linear regression and the statistical analysis of binary logistic regression models,explore the built environment community residents a variety of walking behavior mechanisms.We divided it into walking commuter pedestrians,other purposes,as well as leisure-exercise of walking behavior.Probability,frequency and other selected indicators to measure them.Results:(1)Property on the walking behavior of individuals is the Foundation of community.Different individuals due to differences in socio-economic factors for different types of pedestrian needs and suitability for different.In this study,gender,age and income levels showed a significant effect.In particular,women,lower-income,older people have a higher walk travel behavior.(2)In land using strength Shang,should insisted compact type mixed diversification of development mode,meet residents daily by repair facilities,including commercial,and entertainment,shopping consumption to,promote residents near consumption,and entertainment,;road planning aspects,should improve improve residents' willingness to walk,increasing frequency on foot,promoting their physical and mental health,urban environment and traffic problems.(3)Environment and psychological perception is fundamental.Residents 'subjective perception of residential environment are fundamental factors in determining whether a particular behavior.In residential areas,increase the proportion of intersections,road connectivity,mixed land uses,can improve the results of residents ' perception of such environmental attributes,reducing people's reliance on cars and other maneuvers,inducing residents walk or bicycle led guide green way to travel on foot.Good traffic safety and streetscape perception to some extent promote the residents choose to travel on foot.Hazardous traffic situations,bad air and the Visual environment for walking is a kind of shock.In addition,in this study,land accessibility,pedestrian infrastructure,perceived in the analysis of the indicators in three segments of the pedestrian did not encourage related activities.(4)As amended was adopted by the community within walking distance of the environment awareness scale test-retest reliability test,questionnaire of relevance and consistency of the group have reached a good level.And is being applied in this study,has been relatively good results.This is carried out in small and medium cities in China a few international validation of the walking scale test,the results for which cities in China provide a basis for promoting the use of it.Recommendations:(1)In the relevant departments of the propaganda and guidance: the full use of highly developed network media and information technology,through education and social marketing to change the residents ' travel attitude and behavior habits,can carry out walking role preaching,walking clubs,walking advocates of public service ads,etc.to encourage residents to improve walking frequency.(2)Different socio-economic attributes of residents walking acts have significant differences,according to the different situation of three types of Nanchang sample area,in the development of the urban traffic management measures,should give full consideration to the behavioral differences of the different types of community residents to more targeted,implementation of different policies,which promote reduced use of small and medium sized cities in China,but also for the international urban morphology and behavior research provides a useful complement to walk.
