Comparison Of The Literature Aesthetic Features Between Bai Xianyong And Yukio Mishima

The thesis will do a comparative research about the works of Chinese writer Bai Xianyong and Mishima Yukio from the perspective of parallel research.Namely,it will analyze the inheritance in the creation of the two writer and the similar and dissimilar traits in the aesthetic characteristics.The first chapter copes with the two writers’ personalities,the feminine and masculine aesthetic characteristics in their works.They inherit the traditional culture of their respective counties and absorb western literature;the feminine and masculine aesthetic characteristics of two writer make them choose differently when learning from the Chinese and western cultures.Bai Xianyong pays more attention to inherit the Chinese classic and learn the modern western literature mathods;while Mishima Yukio prefers to inherit the Japanese classic and absorb Greek classicism.The second chapter deals with the similarities of aesthetic characteristics between Bai Xianyong and Mishima Yukio.Both of them inherit their tradition and show the beauty of images in their works.When describing the living conditions and the era characteristics of the blend between China and western,they show the aesthetic characteristic of restoring the ancient.What’ more,the background of their families and the absorption of tradition classics make their works show the noble beauty.The third chapter is main about the differences of the aesthetics characteristics of the two writers.Bai ’work is full of tragic beauty and the tragic fate of individual in the background of the time.Meanwhile in his work,he presents the humanitarian care and profound sympathy towards the characters,which make the characters show strong tender warmth in the misfortune and enable the work show the beauty of human feelings.The work of Mishima Yukio presents obvious contradiction: its aesthetic characteristics if full of good and evil,beauty and ugliness;meanwhile Mishima Yukio’s aesthetic characteristics also show the trait of violence and reveal the beauty of cruelty in the mutual conflicts even destruction.
