This practice report is based on the consecutive interpreting simulation of the seminar entitled “Peter Nolan on China's Silk Road Strategy”.This seminar features rich content,abundant historical events,and the speaker is with diverse backgrounds.With the deep development of the reform and opening up,China's foreign trade is playing a more and more important role in our national economy and various exchanges and cooperation among nations are ever increasing.Against this background,it is of great importance for China to further promote mutual understanding on the basis of the connotation of the old silk road.This kind of understanding will not only promote the implementation of China's Silk Road Strategy,but also will give China a louder voice in the international arena.This practice report is on the basis of E-C interpretation simulation of the Peter Nolan on China's Silk Road Strategy.The author has analyzed the key points and difficulties of the interpretation process.The author hopes it could be beneficial for future interpreters.This report can be mainly divided into four parts.The first part is task description;the second part is interpretation process;the third part is problems in the practice and the fourth part is corresponding solutions.As for the problems,the author will solve them by the Functionalist Skopos Theory of Translation.
