A Study On The Present Situation Development Of Ancestral Temple In Shaaxi

The Han Buddhism has reached its heyday between Sui and Tang dynasties,moreover it shaped Eight schools of Buddhism which led to a profound influence.Tai Hing Temple,the MiZong Ancestral Temple which founded in the last among all Schools has been enjoyed the superior statues as the national temple since Tang dynasties.However,after Tang dynasties,the unified central government mostly located in Beijing as their capital,in addition to,the governors of Yuan and Qing dynasties are ethnic minorities,mainly they believe in national religion and Tibetan Buddhism.Therefore,Tai Hing Temple which located in Xi'an city came to decline.It can not be compared with its greatness in the Sui and Tang dynasties although has been generally rebuilt between Ming and Qing dynasties.There are six ancestral temples distributed in Shaanxi among eight ancestral temples of Han Buddhism which accounts for three quarters.Shaanxi has unparalleled rich Buddhist resources,therefore,Xi'an ancestral temple research is more representative in the field of Buddhist ancestral research.This study is intended to take Tai Hing Temple as an example to see the development of the ancestral temple and the traditional Buddhist temple so as to have a clearer understanding of the current development of the traditional Buddhist ancestral temples.After the foundation of the People's Republic of China,good religious policy promote religious activity places into a healthy development.Temple has also been properly rebuilt and suitable for repair and the organization of Sangha also entered the rapid construction stage.This paper mainly adopt historical documents and field research,take the internal activities and external activities of Tai Hing Temple as the research object and combs the present situation of the development of the cultural network construction of Tai Hing Temple.The internal activities are mainly organized by the temple itself,such as education,culture,Buddhist festivals,liberation for survival,explore the inner cultural construction of Tai Hing Temple.Its external activities focus on exchanging with external society actively,such as with the government,academia,religion,medicine and overseas,and to get its external network construction through the interaction between the two sides.On the basis of elaborating on the internal and external activities,this paper summarizes the dilemma of the traditional Buddhist temple which need to face,such as the monastic activities the limited radiation population in the view of development.On the basis of the analysis of the specific situation,it also put forwards some measures such as the temple to break the inherent thinking,and social contact,and actively use the network platform to transform their own from the actual situation of the temple.These bottlenecks and difficulties that Tai Hing Temple encountered which also existed in Han Chuan ancestral temple.Therefore,this paper explore difficulties and deficiencies in the process of development of the temple by showing the traditional ancestral temple of the Sangha organization,internal activities,the status of external exchanges,Combined with the characteristics of the temple itself to reform,so as to make the ancestral temple play its social role betthter,further to integrate with modern urban development and contribute to social harmony on their own strength.
