Aristotle's philosophy contains rich thoughts of unity of opposites, which is worth of intensive study.According to the intensity of the opposites,Aristotle divides the opposites into four different classes:correlatives, contraries, privatives to positives, and affirmatives to negatives.Aristotle believes that there is no conversion between the four classes of opposites, but in the contraries and affirmatives to negatives, there exists the possibility of two-way conversion and one-way conversion.According to the subject, the transformation and the dependence of the opposite party,Aristotle distinguishes the first three kinds of opposition, and divides the first three kinds of opposition and the opposition in accordance with the different areas of the object of investigation.Aristotle believes that "privatives to positives"is a contradiction in logic, which exists only in judgment.Hegel had been fiercely criticized of Aristotle's law of contradiction, which was due to the fact that Hegel did not distinguish the distinction between Aristotle's view of contradiction and his own contradiction.Hegel's inheritance of Aristotle's dialectical thought is mainly embodied in the spiritual unity of "logos" and "nous"on Aristotle's teleology.Although he did not explicitly put forward the"unity of opposites" category, but the "opposition" and "unity" of the idea of a more detailed analysis and exposition. In order to respond to Plato's philosophy and for the need of establish his own philosophy of architecture formal logic,he did not study the category of "unity"as a key research.Through the study of Greek grammar,Aristotle derives his theory of entity from the discussion of general and individual relations, and applies the thought of the unity of opposites to the research in various fields.Aristotle's extensive experience of collection, the deep analysis of the logic, makes the unity of opposites of him more rich and profound than the previous.
