Mauris Cornelis Escher is an outstanding engraving artist with scientific thinking,he was born in 1898 in Leeuwarden which is the provincial capital of Friesland of Holland.He made a fusion of drawing and science,each of his works was a achievement after his exploring and organization.Even though his works full of optical illusion,everything in the painting is in good order.Escher had created many engraving works,including woodcut,mezzotint,lithograph and so on.Besides,he also made some wood-carvings.There are different and various mode of composition in his works.He created an illusion by using people's common sense to show an incompatible space.He is an artist that he can draw both decoration painting and realistic painting,and most of his works are black and white.Ichnography and spatial pattern transformed freely is one of his painting characteristics which representational surrealism reproduces impossible things vividly.Special artistic charm brings him supreme honor both in art and mathematic circle.
