Time Travel In Escher

Montage theory is constantly in development,and get more and more used.In painting,montage embodied in how to connect different scenarios on the technology.On the artistic effect,it is a kind of infectious narrative and express way.It is used to reflect the painter’s ideas and philosophy.However,Maurits Comelis Escher,used different scenarios to connect symbol and narrative and on the premise of strictly abiding by the perspective,to complete his works.His unique understanding of the relationship between time and space are hidden beneath the style and his painting skills.His works have obvious characteristics of montage.He is a master of painting montage and this argument is ignored in previous studies.By analyzing his works,this paper discuss the montage of his works.And,the new understanding of narrative ability,as well as ways to influence the viewer.
