A Study On The Regional Culture In The Novels Of West Lake In The Ming And Qing Dynasties

West Lake novel that produced in the Song and Yuan Dynasties was a very popular form of the novel in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Novel of the West Lake is mainly recorded the Hangzhou West Lake's geographical and cultural style,and it is unique in the history of vernacular fiction because it shows distinctive regional culture.Of course,the historical culture and the capital construction of Song and Yuan Dynasties were the Main Factors in the Formation of the West Lake Novels.it given the West Lake rich cultural connotation and made the region and literature more closely together,thus provided a rich material for the later writers to create the West Lake novels.To the Ming Dynasty Chongzhen period,with the emergence of the writers of the West Lake novel boom,Hangzhou was appeared in the West Lake novelist group.Since then,West Lake novels were specially cataloged and published.The paper takes the West Lake novel which created in the Ming and Qing Dynasties as the research object,analysis and discussion it from the perspective of Regional Culture by using sociology and cultural research methods.The thesis is divided into five parts.The first chapter is introduction,which mainly introduces the purpose of the thesis,significance,research status,research scope and methods.The second chapter is a brief introduction of the West Lake novel.Including the definition of West Lake novel,the creation and the analysis of the Types of West Lake Novels in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The third chapter introduces the regional cultural background of the formation of the West Lake novel.Related to the relationship between the West Lake and Hangzhou,the emergence of West Lake in the story as a natural landscape and human landscape,as well as the enhancement of regional cultural ideas and so on.The fourth chapter analyzes the regional culture that embodied in the novels of the West Lake in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Mainly includes four aspects,such as the geographical environment,the city life,folk customs and literati ideal.In this way,the author's description of the environment and the scenery is not a simple insert,but with the construction of the text into a complete geographical performance,and need to in-depth analysis by combining the historical environment and literati experience.The fifth part summarizes the value and influence of the West Lake novel.In this paper,through the analysis of these five parts to explore the formation of the West Lake novels,and Summed up the West Lake novel's geographical performance and value,and then form a whole context for readers to provide ideas and reference.In a word,the novel of the West Lake as a typical form of novels in the Ming and Qing Dynasties has a typical representations in the performance of Hangzhou characteristics,It is the perfect combination of the geographical and cultural,and creates a logical and fascinating story content,but also makes the regional culture is more outstanding...
