The Performance Interpretation Of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody On A Theme Of Paganini

Rachmaninoff(1873-1943)is a famous pianist,composer and conductor of twentieth Century in Russian.Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini(Op.43)was created in the summer of 1934 in the United States.It is the representative of his late creation.It took about a month and a half to finish the work.The first performance was in Baltimore Maryland in 1934.The piano was played by Rachmaninoff.The conductor was Stokowski.Accompanied by Philadelphia Orchestra.In this paper,I will take study of Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini.Give some discussions on the background,the music analysis and technique.Meddle and contrast the table example selections and describe the instance characteristic again in addition.Through the careful study,to deepen understanding of the composer's creation style,and on this basis,can be more profound grasp of the style of this works and playing techniques,also hope to provide some help for the research and practice of art value of piano learning and playing.
