By analyzing the error problems in HSK language data base,the author found that over-europeanized grammar error problems made by English and American overseas students in their Chinese advanced writing are especially obvious,but lack of corresponding researching.That's why the author researched it.Based on the method of comparison?error analysis and searching through relative studies with substantial instances,we can summarize the kinds,the reasons and the corresponding dealing strategies of the error problems,in order to make contributions to the Chinese language teaching for English and American overseas students.This paper can be divided into five parts as follows:In the first part,the author briefly introduced the background and values of this paper,relative studies,studying methods,creative content,and corresponding concepts.In the second part,this paper described and analyzed the error problems from the data,which can be categorized as errors of “conjunction”?“preposition”?“verbal times”?“pronoun”?“form of multiples”?“the Chinese character of ‘?'”?“the Chinese sentence of‘?......?'”?“judgment sentence”?“europeanized Chinese sentence”and“passive sentence with Chinese character of‘?'”.In the third part,we analyzed the reasons leading to the error problems.The reasons can be summarized as: firstly,the English and American overseas students are influenced by their mother language of English;Secondly,they are influenced by the target language of Chinese;Thirdly,they are influenced by the differences between English and Chinese in culture and thinking styles;Fourthly,they are influenced by their learning strategies;fifthly,they are influenced by the teaching methods of Chinese as second language for foreign students;Sixthly,they are influenced by their textbooks they use to learn Chinese.In the fourth part,the author put up several dealing strategies and advice as follows:Firstly,English and American overseas students should use comparison method in learning Chinese,in addition,the author suggested they should read more books about Chinese culture to cultivate their Chinese thinking style and reading sense;Secondly,the teachers should use the methods of finding,examples,and comparisons;Thirdly,in the textbooks,more detailed grammar rules should be illustrated based on the regularity of their studying and more comparison of grammar rules between Chinese and English should be made.In the last part,the content of this paper was summarized.
