Hong mingji is a set ofargumentment during Buddhists and Confucianists form Eastern Han towei-jin period.The anthology included ornate articles with lots of quotations by intellectuals of circle of thinkers at that time has greatDocumentationValue.Literatures cited by Hong mingji cover a wide range.Many of the articles related to I Ching(??).Among them,the mainstream is the quotations to I Ching by the Buddhist scholars.The quotations of I Ching and Yi-ology from Buddhist have the significance of the combination with Buddhism and Yi-ology,which belongs tothe category of“using I Ching to explain Buddhism.”And they are in line with historicalfacts and logic.In my paper,these quotations aredivided into two categories by the principle of combining history and logic.The first category invoked as “ using I Ching state Buddha”is quotations by form.Such asMouzihuo theory used ontological thought from Qian zaodu,which can barely called quotation.Luo han'sGengshenglun made use of “including everything”to demonstrate oneness of heaven and earth even deathscan reborn,butit did not work well eventually because of weak arguments.In addition,Hong mingji has the debate between He chengtian and Yan yan.He chengtian said thatthe saint differed from ordinary people because he owns many qualities.Yan yan thought the biggist virtue is morality and All human beings are equal.Although they use more ofI Ching and argument is no longer easy,but the content of the theory and method,can only be described as debate of Chinese local style.The second category is “using I Ching to explain Buddha ",contains combination and development.It has double meaning of Buddhismhistory and I Ching history.In the explaination and proof of about the Eternal God,Hui yuan remake connotation of “god and join the buddhist characteristics of the power called Ming chuan.To Buddhism,the principal part of the retribution and transmigration can be established;To I Ching,”god is given a religious significance of retribution and transmigration.History of the term " God " also had a religious significance of the cycle of retribution.In the theory of Buddhism in the Ming dynasty wrote by Zongbing,he extended the connotation of “god on the basis of Hui yuan and add the “god” of etribution and transmigration to the highest category of “Dao” in Chinese local philosophy with the using of the thought called "Worshiping Ghost to Educate and Deceive People" in I Ching.From the perspective of the history of Buddhism,the early Buddhism make the “using I Ching to explain Buddha” in the Hong mingji as an iorgesis to I Ching.This kind of quote is conducive to the spread of Buddhism,affecting the direction of localization of Buddhism in China,and also enrich interpretations of I Ching,becoming a part of the study of I Ching.It provides a theoretical possibility in the process of using the theory of I Ching to make Buddhism became a part of Chinese culture.
