Low grade stage in primary school(from six to nine years old)is an important enlightenment learning stage,which will establish a significant basis for the whole life's development of children in learning and receiving information.Thus,Sex education cannot be ignored as a part of the education in low grade stage in primary school and can even determine their health and happiness throughout their lives.At the age of six to nine,children should be aware of proper and comprehensive knowledge on sex.We should develop the low grade students in primary school with a right attitude and positive sense of values to sex in order to enhance their capacity to make right decisions on sex and make them keep healthy both physically and psychologically instead of suffering from sexual assault.We raise the idea to set a platform with the picture books of sex education for children from six to nine years old.With the help of proper design and edit,we can make it real to encourage children to communicate with their parents and receiving right sex knowledge.Furthermore,we can make the learning process easy and happy for the children.The core purpose of designing this picture book is to promote the awareness of children from six to nine years old on sex education,meanwhile in the way of parents-children reading,we can reach the purpose of better communication between children and parents.We design a brand new reading model pop-up picture book and digital picture book in this article.On one hand,children can receive proper sex education by reading picture books.On the other hand,it is easy and interesting to read picture books,which will help to develop their(children from six to nine years old)interest in reading,promote communication between children and parents,and make them develop a good habit of learning.The main purpose of this article is to make a research on the process and method of design a picture book on sex education for children from six to nine years old.The first step is to research on users referring to children from six to nine years old and other relevant users in order to extract and conclude their characteristics,based on which we can step forward to design and draw the picture.Children in this period,they demand more on games,learning,sociality,and love.Users among the parents,they demand on spreading sex knowledge and promoting communication between parents and children in the scenes of sex education.According to users' demand and relevant theories on children's sex education,we start to design and produce,then make improvement on the basis of evaluation from the using experience of our users.Eventually,the picture book on sex education for children from six to nine years old gets positive comments from the tested users.Initially,we confirm that it is feasible to promote the results of the research and products in the area of children's sex education.
