The ZhenHai battle was happened at the end of sino-french war.At that time,three warships belonging to Nanyang fleet were pursued and attacked by French warships on the Zhejiang sea area,so that they had to drive into ZhenHai Yongjiang to avoid French warships.The battle scale of the ZhenHai battle is not massive,but it influenced the negotiation between China and France following.OuYangLiChien was the main commanding officer in this battle of China.His consideration,attitude and military deployments effected this battle's result deeply.In addition,the political situation in Zhejiang was so complicated that influenced the military situation as well.For recognizing the ZhenHai battle's real role and situation more clearly,this text try to analyze the intention of French army,also this battle's real origin and what happened in ZhenHai really.This text want to clarify some facts and misunderstandings in the past about the ZhenHai battle.Further,we try to discover OuYangLiChien's real role part in the ZhenHai battle,and evaluate him objectively.This text is divided into four section.The first part analyzed China's military situation before the ZhenHai battle,in order to find out its origin,and its real role part in the whole sino-french.The second part was finding OuYangLiChien's military deployments in order to realizing and estimating his military capabilities.The third part analyzed relationships between OuYangLiChien and other main commanding officers,further to estimate OuYangLiChien's rights and wrongs.The last part is conclusion of the whole text,it summed up the real role part and significance of the ZhenHai battle,estimated OuYangLiChien comprehensively as well.
