Empathy plays a very important role in our social interaction,and it is necessary to explore the important factors that affect empathy.Empathy are generally divided into cognitive empathy and emotional empathy,and emotional empathy is generally divided into positive emotional empathy and negative emotional empathy.Previous studies have pointed out that pro-social value orientation and sense of power are all particularly important factors influencing empathy.However,in previous studies,the relationship between pro-social value orientation and empathy,power and empathy is inconsistent.In this study,experimental method were used.The study 1 explores the influence of pro-social value orientation and the sense of social power on cognitive empathy,positive emotional empathy and negative emotional empathy,The results of the study show that:(1)the interaction between the sense of social power and pro-social value orientation affects cognitive empathy.When the individual is at the level of high social power,the individual 's cognitive empathy of pro-social value orientation is significantly higher than that of non-pro-social value orientation.(2)The interaction between the sense of social power and pro-social value orientation influences positive emotional empathy.When the individual is in pro-social value orientation,the positive emotional empathy of high social power individuals are significantly higher than those of low social power individuals.(3)The sense of social power and pro-social value orientation have no interaction with negative emotional empathy.The study 2 explores the influence of pro-social value orientation and the sense of individual power on cognitive empathy,positive emotional empathy and negative emotional empathy.The results show that:(4)the interaction between the sense of individual power and pro-social value orientation has no significant effect on cognitive empathy;(5)the interaction between the sense of individual power and pro-social value orientation on positive emotional empathy is not significant;(6)The interaction between the sense of individual power and pro-social value orientation affects negative emotional empathy.When the individual is at the level of high individual power,the negative emotional empathy of individuals with pro-social value orientation are significantly higher than those of non-pro-social value orientation.
