The Study Of Marcel Proust's Literary Thoughts

Nowadays,the domestic Proust study mainly focused on the creation techniques,narrative skills,etc.of his novel A la recherche du temps perdu while less study from the aesthetic or literary thought aspects as well as few concern about Proust's literary thought.However,the literary and artistic ideas of Proust in the last volume of A la recherche du temps perdu named Le temps retrouvé and the collection of prose and criticism,such as criticism method,literary creation,etc.,are worthy of our discussion.Through the deep understanding of Proust's literary thought and then aftertaste his literary works,it is easier to understand Proust' s creative way and literary standpoint and in further taste the infinite depth and value of Proust 's literary works.In other words,it is precisely thanks to Proust's aesthetic principles and literary ideas which decided how he created practice and born the A la recherche du temps perdu.Combing the literature and previous studies,this paper try to explore Proust's literary thought in the text based on the Refutation Sainte-Beuve and Le temps retrouvé.This article is divided into five parts to explore Proust's literary thought.The first part mainly combs the research status of Proust at domestic and abroad.The second part explores the inheritance of the Refutation Sainte-Beuve and Le temps retrouvé,and the former lay the foundation for the formation of Proust's literary thought and finally fusion his own literary thought and the specific creative practice,perfect sublimation in the Le temps retrouvé.The third part explores the origin of Proust 's literary thought on the basis of predecessors' research.Learning from Bergson,Prost recognized that literary and artistic creation need abandon the intelligence and rationality that is useless for it;the foundation of artistic creation is mainly based on feelings and intuition instincts,through intuition,instantaneous feeling of involuntary memory,imagine to grasp the literature art and understand life.Besides,Baudelaire's aesthetic view of literature and art had a great influence on Proust,and in Baudelaire he has learned to extract eternity from the great pain and to use the memories and the senses to find eternal and absolute beauty.The fourth part explores Proust's concrete literary and artistic content.Proust argues St.Bern's positivist criticism and proposing his own criticism: criticism should back to the work itself rather than the author.Because the "self" of the creation main body in the real life is completely different from that in the literary creation.the work is the inherent self of the creator.Attention to the important role of the subjective aesthetic feelings of literary criticism in literary criticism activities,emphasizing through the works of criticism or appreciation activities to reveal the inherent deep self of the creator,further to discover and understand the inner nature of things.In Proust,memories help the individual find time,literature been used to save and freeze time.Instantly recollected memories are to help us to recall the time,literature and art are help us to find such a feeling,seeking the passing time and happiness.Literature and art help us to show life,reshape the spiritual value,and to find the meaning of our existence.In the specific creative concept,Proust emphasize that literature and art is not imitated to reproduce the reality,and need to use the feeling to perceive.He advocates creators to get rid of intellectual,the shackles of daily habits,and pursue personalized,novel,unfamiliar literary effects to obtain original works.The last part made a brief assessment for the Proust's thought of literary and artistic.In the era of subsided faith and value,faced with the frustrated and chaotic society,Proust rides in a unique way-the path of aesthetic and literary creation,for himself as well as the modern people,struggling to find the value of life.Proust uses "memories" to narrate his own observation and experience of life,only as an individual to judge the world,to find the meaning of existence,to reach a certain ultimate state,to cope with the perception crisis of the increasingly industrial and technological era.Under the influence of popular culture,the spiritual crisis of modern people is getting more and more prosperous,the Proust's thought of literary and artistic undoubtedly gives us a kind of spiritual shock,providing a way or style to find the value and meaning of self-existence.
