| Emperor Huizong is a biography of Chinese emperor Huizong of Song,ZhaoJi,who was the eighth emperor of the Song dynasty in China.This book focused on the period mainly between 1100 and 1135,during the emperor Huizong's lifetime,telling stories of Huizong with particularly religious and cultural backgrounds,presenting a new talented emperor in different occidental thought pattern.The book is English written and consists of twelve chapters.This thesis is written on the translation on the first part of the first chapter which is according to what translation theories I have learned for the purpose of explore the translation methods of biography especially the biography of historical figures.Thus,on the one hand,it provides the necessary material basis for the master's graduation thesis;on the other hand,it will provide some reference for future research on cultural exchange and communication.This thesis is focused on the features of biography translation in three aspects which are words,sentences and culture features.Collecting and reading relevant materials,reading the book Huizong Emperor and applying to the aided translation tool and term base,etc.are the mainly research methods. |
