C-E Translation Report On Market Analysis And Development Planning Report Of Mudanjiang New Innovation Economy Investment & Guarantee Company

In today's world,cooperations and exchanges between China and other countries have become increasingly close,and China's commercial activities have become increasingly international,together with the increasing demand for economic exchanges,translation of practical reports plays an important role in promoting economic and social development of the world.This dissertation reports the translation practice on the Market Analysis and Development Planning Report of Mudanjiang New Innovation Economy Investment & Guarantee Company(hereinafter refer to as "the Report").The Report belongs to a kind of practical report featured by having plenty of technical terms,redundant information,incomplete sentences and long complex sentences.According to these characteristics,the author applied Nida's functional equivalence theory in the translation of the Report.The functional equivalence theory is characterized by the fact that it does not seek the rigid correspondence but functional equivalence between two languages.Under the guidance of functional equivalence theory,this dissertation employs appropriate translation strategies to solve different problems in translating the source text.Specifically,the author used the literal and free translation method in translating terms,omission and substitution methods in translating redundant information,adding subjects and changing into non-predicate structures in incomplete sentences translation,and division and combination in long complex sentences translation.What's more,the author made a list about guarantee terms in the Report.However,some terms about the guarantee industry are not translated appropriately.In addition,due to the diversity of translation methods,the author needs to further study other translation methods in translating the Report.
