The Analysis Of The Timbre Contraction And Acoustical Arrangement In Henri Dutilleux Of "The Shadows Of Time"

Henri·Dutilleux(1916-2013),who is known as one of the most outstanding France contemporary composers following Messian,make a great influence on Franch modern music development.He is independent of numerous genres in twentieth century,and to open up the unique charm of sound language.As a orchestration works which is created after maturity stage by Dutilleux,<The shadows of time> is considered by a chain-like sound layout and a rapidly changing timbre contrastion.This paper uses the perspective of orchestation and combines with the analysis of structure,to uncover the inner dynamic law of timbre contrast and space layout from all aspect of timbre handling skills and orchestration technics.This dissertation is composed of three parts: the first part is to introduce Dutilleux's life and the creation baceground of <The shadows of time>,as well as the significance and theoretical basis of research.the second part is the main part of this paper,which is divided into three chapters.First chapter discuss the main topic and the structure of each movement,the later two chapter is to decryption timbre passwords and obtain the spatial layout from the perspective of orchestration.The last part comes to the conclusion,summing up the words of orchestration.
